Unbilled work is rarely an obvious mistake. A milestone is delivered on a Friday and the invoice waits for a sign-off. A retainer’s quarter rolls over. A change request is done before it is priced. Each one is small, but together they can add up to a quarter’s margin.
Check every activity, every morning
Margin Guard compares each activity with its plan, its budget and its invoices every day. At Mesabrook it has found $206,800 this quarter. $155,900 has been approved, $142,850 invoiced and $36,600 collected. Each finding shows how its amount was computed, so finance can check it instead of trusting it.
A person approves every invoice
Brazos Valley Bancorp’s October delivery is a good example: $41,300 found, planned as an invoice request, reviewed by Lucy Hargrove in finance, then created as INV-2026-071 once she approved it. KPilot drafts the request and a person approves it, because a disputed invoice costs more than a late one.
The Monday brief
Each Monday, every partner gets a brief of what Margin Guard found in what they may see, with a link to every number. It lists the findings worth acting on, sorted by amount.
